Topaz Jones Provides the Funk in "Toothache" Video
The video is directed by rubberband. (Jason Filmore and Simon Davis).
Topaz Jones is back with his new music video for “Toothache.” The record is taken from Topaz’s A Side/B Side series, a collection of double singles displaying his diverse creativity and melodic rap flow. The video is directed by rubberband (Jason Filmore and Simon Davis), who are known for their work with Solange & ASAP MOB for Calvin Klein, GoldLink and Under Armour.
The video will transport you into the 1970’s where funk was everything and style was at its peak. But the record was made out of nostalgia. “I wrote ‘Toothache’ as a way to connect back to all the summer cookouts and parties my family had growing up,” Topaz Jones said to HYPEBEAST. “I’ve been working with rubberband. for like seven years now and they know me really well just as a human. So we all knew this was an opportunity to represent a bunch of my influences as well as show the community aspect of my music. It always takes a village.”
