Chance the Rapper Reconnects with The O'My's for New "Idea" Video
Taking viewers to the streets of Chicago.
Chicago group The O’My’s have reconnected with Chance the Rapper for the official video in support of their recent collaborative single “Idea.”
“It’s a collaborative city. Collaborations happen just by being in the room or being at the park or bumping into somebody,” The O’My’s member Maceo Haymes recently told Billboard, breaking down the joint efforts on his duo’s newly-releases studio album Tomorrow. “That’s kind of the nature of the scene in Chicago. Everybody is constantly pushing each other. Everybody is constantly working with each other and teaching one another.”
“We spend the majority of our time making music and living in Chicago,” added the other half of The O’My’s, Nick Hennessey. “That inherently just comes through in [our music]. It’s the community that has grown with us and has helped us grow throughout all these years.”
Notably, Tomorrow also features a collaboration with another high-profile Windy City talent, Saba. You can check out The O’My’s and Chance the Rapper’s Jason Peterson-directed “Idea” video — filmed in Chicago — above, while Tomorrow is currently available for streaming on the platform of your choice.
Towards the end of last month, Chance the Rapper teamed up with Kami, Joey Purp and Smoko Ono for the “Reboot” video.
