Detroit has a long history in the music industry and Amir sees himself, along with his peers, as the next generation to continue the city’s legacy. “We’ve always had that soulfulness and that scene, but it got lost in translation when the city met some hardships. There wasn’t a real outlet as far as going to meetings and connecting with people but there always been there. I always pride Detroit on talent,” he continues.
