Mir Fontane Pays Homage to Lesandro 'Junior' Guzman Feliz in "Bodega" Video
The video was directed by Sage English.
Earlier this year, Camden, N.J. native Mir Fontane released his latest project, Macaroni Tony. The project was led by the singles “Hesitate” and “New Friends” but a standout record off the tape was “Bodega.”
Today (Sept. 10), the Jersey native releases the video for “Bodega,” which is directed by Sage English. The vidoe paid homage to the tragic stabbing of 15-year-old Lesandro ‘Junior’ Guzman Feliz that was killed in the Bronx in June.
“The ‘Bodega’ video was made in honor of Junior who was murdered at a bodega in the Bronx,” he explains to HYPEBEAST about the music video. “To me, the bodega always represented a hub for the community… but it also embodies the spirit of the hustle and grind. The owner of the bodega is one of the first true businessmen you meet growing up in the hood. Right now, I’m working on putting together this album and releasing new music for the fans.”
