'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' Newest Character Is Isabelle From 'Animal Crossing'
Made alongside the announcement of a new ‘Animal Crossing’ game.
Nintendo made a number of announcements on its latest Direct stream. One of those announcements was the newest addition ofIsabelle from Animal Crossing Leaf! to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s 70+ roster. The mild-mannered daydreaming Major’s assistant is the latest character reveal for the anticipated fighter/party game, and it coincides with the announcement of a new Animal Crossing title to debut on the Switch as well.
This yet to be named title will follow up 2013’s Animal Crossing Leaf and is slated for a 2019 release. Isabelle first made her appearance as an assist trophy character in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS, but now she will enter the fray alongside her contemporaries.
