This Editorial Investigates OAMC's Military Influences for FW18
A look at the weight of war.
Fully transitioned into the Fall/Winter 2018 season, Vancouver-based retailer Roden Gray recently put together an evocative editorial centered around OAMC‘s latest seasonal collection.
Expanding on the military themes that inform the range, the moody spotlight explores the motions of war in relation to the conflicting identities of society and self. Focused on two location sets, the sandy hills serve to express the weight of war while the heritage home built in the 1890s evokes concepts of mental sensitivity and nostalgia. For the cold weather months ahead, OAMC put together an expansive range dominated by unique outerwear silhouettes and contemporary takes on traditional menswear. Standout pieces include the straight fit tailored mid-length Cage Coat, stiff molded Kunsthalle Felt Overshirt, and quilted Cropped Documenta Liner.
