Almost 20 years ago, PUMA introduced a silhouette that embodied the peak of its performance and technical capabilities. Now, the German-based footwear imprint looks to debut an archival revival of the sneaker, the new-and-improved CELL Endura.

Originally gracing the scene in 1998, the OG kicks melded technological advancements in running with nuanced style cues. Providing a robust cushioning system through the implementation of its CELL tech, PUMA built the sneakers to handle the diverse needs of a runner through its stable TPU hexagonal cells.

Capturing the relevance of ’90s aesthetics and fashion, the 2018 revitalization maintains the Endura’s original essence. The chunky body and green CELLS return by way of modern materials and production techniques; in lieu of hand-stitching, a digital variant is used to piece together a white upper with contrasting black mesh, suede overlays and PU leather. The CELL’s supportive qualities are sustained by an EVA midsole and rubber outsole. Lastly, not-so-subtle embellishments, like its distinctive eyelets and neon green accents, make the classic trainer a welcomed revival .

Take a look at the sneaker above, which is dropping October 4 at leading sneaker stores, in PUMA stores worldwide and at PUMA.com.
