'Project Judge' Lets You Solve Crimes in Tokyo as a Private Investigator
From the makers of ‘Yakuza.’
At Sony‘s pre-Tokyo Game Show event, Sega showed off its upcoming PlayStation 4 game title push. Dubbed Project Judge, the game is developed by the same studio that works on the Yakuza series and features the same mix of an open world action-adventure game with role-playing elements.
From the trailer reveal, we see that the game revolves around Takayuki Yagami — an ex-defense lawyer who becomes a private investigator after a client he got acquitted murders again. Throughout the game, players will solve crimes and work towards clearing Yagami’s name while exploring Japan locales. Players who are familiar with the Yakuza series can also expect a similar set of mini-games to be sprinkled throughout the upcoming title.
Check out the trailer for Project Judge above and look for the game to release exclusively on Sony PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 13 with a stateside release to come sometime in early 2019.
