Liam Hodges & FILA Reunite for '90s-Influenced Fall/Winter 2018 Capsule
Including a new take on the Disruptor II silhouette.
After first collaborating for Spring/Summer 2018, London-based designer Liam Hodges has reunited with FILA for Fall/Winter 2018. The new capsule — originally shown at Hodges’ London Fashion Week show back in January — takes inspiration from the FILA archives, as well as themes of nostalgia and youth from the main collection.
The stand-0ut piece in the collaboration is the updated version of the ’90s Disruptor II silhouette, which is constructed from Italian action leather and features a new sawtooth outsole. The apparel is influenced by printed polar fleece designs from FILA’s Magic Line. This line was launched as a performance skiwear collection, but soon became associated with the UK Acid House movement due to its wild prints and technical fabrics. Key apparel pieces include two-piece zipped tracksuits in checked flannel or nylon.
The collection is set to release at stockists including Selfridges and Dover Street Market on September 20.
