Young Thug's Remix of Elton John's "Rocket Man" Has Arrived
The two-year wait is over.
After two years of teasing and rumors, the long-awaited Young Thug remix of Elton John‘s 1972 classic “Rocket Man” has surfaced.
Young Thug’s “Rocket Man” rework was created following a 2016 meeting between the two at Elton John’s Atlanta home. John sent Young Thug the “Rocket Man” instrumental after the visit, which motivated Thug to cook up his own spin on it. Elton is a huge fan of Thugger’s, having called his style and sound “amazing,” and has gone on to praise him in multiple interviews since the aforementioned visit. The timing of today’s drop couldn’t come at a better time for Young Thug: his new Slime Language compilation project was released last week.
Leaked earlier this week, Young Thug’s remix of Elton John’s “Rocket Man ” is available for streaming on an unaffiliated YouTube.
