Nike's New Kobe A.D. Surfaces in a New Colorway
Honoring the “Black Mamba’s” birthday.
Earlier this week, we followed up DeMar DeRozan and Kobe Bryant sporting a new Nike Kobe A.D. model with images of a Black/Purple-Silver colorway. Today, a new iteration of the forthcoming sneaker has emerged, sharing black, silver and infrared hues.
Still without an official name, its sock-like upper is complemented by a simple lacing system and Swoosh logos on each lateral side. Down the right sneaker you’ll find the numbers 08, 23 and 78 as an ode to Kobe Bryant‘s birthday, while the right sneaker honors his jersey numbers spanning from high school to his last game with the Los Angeles Lakers (33, 08 and 24).
There’s no confirmed launch date for the next installment of the Nike Kobe A.D. series. Stay tuned for additional info and let us know how this edition compares to Bryant’s previous post-retirement models. Fans of the “Black Mamba” can also check out the Nike Kobe 1 Proto “All-Star” launching this week.
