Nike has revealed its latest iteration of the Air Max Uptempo 97, this time coming out in a minimal colorway. The “triple black” iteration of the famed shoe uses leather and suede upper panels on top of a tonal midsole. The shoe is finished off with a tonal outsole and an air max bubble. The Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 will be released on September 22 at select retailers and at Nike’s web store, costing $160 USD.
The company has been steadily releasing iterations of the Air Max Uptempo 97, with the last edition being a “College Navy” colorway that played off one of the colorways worn by Scottie Pippen. Prior to that release, the shoe appeared as part of an “All Star” pack alongside the original Air Max Uptempo and the Air Max2 Uptempo, all of which appeared in a “University Blue” suede colorway.
