MR. BRAINWASH Pays Tribute to DJ AM with Hand-Painted Sneakers

Streetwear and sneaker retailer Project Blitz teamed up with MR. BRAINWASH on an upcoming charity auction to honor the late DJ AM. The French artist hand-painted a range of sought-after kicks including the Virgil Abloh x Nike Air VaporMax collaborations, Supreme x Air Jordan 5, and more. Accompanying the paint-splattered silhouettes are their respective sneaker boxes to which the artist employed his artistic abilities on as well. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the nonprofit organization, MS FOCUS, that benefits people with multiple sclerosis and their families.
An opening reception will take place at the Seventh Letter Gallery in Los Angeles, California this Wednesday. The live auction is currently being held on Project Blitz’s official website. View the photos above and let us know your thoughts.
