Gucci's 'Double G' Ring Is a Throwback to the '70s
Made with 18k gold.
Gucci releases a new 18K-gold ring that channels the fashion house’s rich and lustrous history. Taking cues from Gucci’s prominent aesthetics found in the ’70s, the Double G ring, as the name implies, uses the label’s iconic ‘GG’ logo as the focal point — a logo that Aldo Gucci implemented as a direct tribute to his father, Guccio Gucci. Combining Gucci’s heritage with creative director Alessandro Michele‘s affinity for rings and the end result is something this is both timeless, yet surprisingly appropriate in today’s fashion landscape.
On top of its exceptional craftsmanship that is associated with Italian jewelry, the Gucci Double G ring has also been certified in accordance with the Hallmarking Act of 1973. Those interested can find the ring over at MR PORTER for a retail price of £1,530 GBP (approximately $1970 USD).
