Samsung Developed an "Unbreakable" OLED Display
Withstanding an assortment of harsh tests unscathed.

Samsung has developed a flexible OLED panel that utilizes a transparent plastic cover able to emulate the quality of glass. The screen has been certified by safety science company UL after withstanding 26 drops from 4 feet and harsh temperatures from a scorching 159.8°F to -25.6°F. Samsung also went on to test its durability by dropping it from 6 feet, which also resulted in no damages or abnormalities.
Samsung is pushing the new screen as “unbreakable” and is expected to be offered to other electronic devices like handheld games, tablets, car displays, and more. Although these are the eventual plans, Samsung Display has offered no further details on when we’ll see the tech applied to new products.
