Three Girls Summon ‘Slender Man’ in New Trailer
The meme has come to life.
The new trailer for the creepypasta sensation turned horror icon Slender Man has arrived, and it blurs the line between fact and fiction. Set in a small town in Massachusetts, the film sees three schoolgirls perform a summoning ritual in an attempt to debunk Slender Man lore.
When one of them goes missing, the girls begin to suspect Slender Man is real and has taken their friend for himself. The meme began in 2009 in a forum post and Photoshop contest by Eric Knudsen — with its lore leading to the eventual attempted murder of an underaged girl by two of her 12-year-old friends.
