‘One-Punch Man’ Returns for Season 3 in 2025
Six years after the airing of Season 2.
As confirmed via One-Punch Man’s official channels, the highly-anticipated anime will premiere its third season in 2025, coinciding with the animated series’ 10-year anniversary.
Season 2 was officially released in 2019 and shortly after it ended, it was announced that production for Season 3 had also commenced. No progress updates have been unveiled ever since. In March, an unprecedented trailer was dropped, reassuring fans that the series is still in production.
Per previous announcements, J.C. staff will continue to animate the series. Fan receptions were mixed when the studio first picked up the project from Madhouse in 2019. J.C.Staff’s Season 2 presented notable differences both in animation quality and pacing, especially when pitted against the critical acclaim of Season 1. However, considering the long production time this time and the trailer that was unveiled earlier on in the year, it appears that the studio may have addressed many of the issues above.
