This Seemingly Ordinary Ball Is Actually a Drum Machine
Called the “oddball.”

Oddball is a new project that aims to introduce intriguing technology into beat making. The ball is at once a fairly standard bouncing ball with the added bonus of pressure sensitive sensors and a mobile app. Using the app to connect to the ball, you can assign a variety of drum sounds to the ball and then bounce the ball, building the beat by changing the sounds on the app throughout.
You’ll be able to listen to the beat as you go and the balls connect to each other if there’s a desire to create multi-layered sounds at once. While it’s at kickstarter stage, it has already surpassed its $39,607 USD goal, reaching $43,610 USD. The Oddball will be shipping in January 2019 and will cost $112 USD.
