Justin Timberlake Drops "Soulmate" & Speaks on a Potential Drake Collab
A new single for the Summer.
In the midst of a wildly-successful tour in support of his latest studio album Man of the Woods, Justin Timberlake takes a brief break from delivering performances to sold-out venues to cook up another new single.
With the summer here and hot, the 37-year-old pop star teams up with a long list of talented collaborators for “Soulmate.” Specifically, Justin Timberlake headed to the Bahamas last week to record today’s drop, compiling together contributions from James Fauntleroy, Nineteen85, Paul Jeffries, Brian Casey, Brandon Casey, Lechas Young and Gary Smith to create his latest original composition. While “Soulmate” isn’t attached to any particular campaign, a new Justin Timberlake single during summer is a definitely a tried-and-true formula for success.
On a related note, during a recent conversation with Complex, Justin Timberlake expressed serious interest in working with Nineteen85’s most famous collaborator, Drake.
“I love Scorpion, I think it literally just like answered anything,” Timberlake shares. “I think The Boy came correct with that one. We’ve talked about [collaborating again] a lot. I don’t wanna say too much because I don’t wanna jinx it, but we’ve talked about it a lot.” Judging by how many artists he worked with on “Soulmate,” Timberlake is definitely in a collaborative mood.
