Huawei has patented a smartwatch that can store water-resistant Bluetooth earbuds inside of itself. The patent describes several storage options, ranging from a magnetic watchband, capsules that release with spring mechanisms, to just a small case.
The patent has been granted by The World Intellectual Property Organization, but its wholly possible Huawei may never release such a product. It’s possible the brand may be playing around with a few new approaches to the smartwatch game after the introduction of its Huawei Watch 2.
