Footpatrol & ASICS Join Forces for Anime-Influenced GEL-Saga
Drawing influence from giant robots.

London’s Footpatrol reunite with ASICS for a clever take on the GEL-Saga silhouette. Debuted in 1991, the GEL-Saga design took cues from the Mobile Suit Gundam anime, and this collaboration hits similar notes. The ASICS logo on the side sports a metallic paint job, made especially bold against the upper’s muted white mesh and cream suede panels. Complementary-colored branding appears on the midsole, tongue and towards the rear, with more metallic detailing located near the heel. Clean tonal laces and a dark grey outsole complete the understated colorway.

When the sneaker launches in-store on July 28, Footpatrol’s London & Paris outposts will offer special packages to the first 25 customers who purchase the shoe. For everyone else, the shoe will debut at stockists worldwide on August 11, including Footpatrol’s website.
