size? Upgrades Vans Style 36 With "Patchwork"
A retro pattern, revived.

Following a series of pony hair-accented Style 36 sneakers, size? continues reworking Vans‘s Style 36 silhouette with another exclusive release. Dubbed “Patchwork,” the new model references the “Factory Floor” drop seen earlier this year, sans clashing patterns.
Inspiration for the “Patchwork” Style 36 came from a time before the internet, when companies created sample footwear emblazoned with a variety of different colors and patterns to act as an example of the options you could select when designing a sneaker. Each panel was a different color, and an assortment of patterns appeared on the midsole — concepts referenced with this new creation. A host of bright hues appear on the sneaker’s upper, ranging from golden yellow to rich navy and bold red, with the design on one sneaker mirrored onto the other. Alternating navy & red Vans branding is printed around the midsole, the first time the pattern has appeared on a pair of Vans in decades.
Look for the exclusive style to hit size?’s website on July 27 for £70 GBP (about $90 USD).
Most recently, the quilted Vans Slip-On received a “Russet Orange” treatment.
