Emerging Streetwear Label WCKDTHGHTS Draws Inspiration from South Central
Including a message inspired by 03 Greedo’s incarceration.
Since co-hosting a Go Skate Day event with Illegal Civilization, up and coming label WCKDTHGHTS has just released new products for Spring/Summer 2018. For the season, Founder Khaleel Knight draws inspiration from his South Central surroundings. Paying homage to the previous generation of OG’s, they’ve included a dipped Ben Davis work shirt printed with a large paisley pattern. The collection includes various graphic prints, with references to the cutthroat mindset of LA, and how money is the root of evil. The ‘Love Me Now’ tee is inspired by the recent 20-year sentencing of 03 Greedo, spreading the message that ‘it shouldn’t take someone’s death or incarceration for them to be appreciated.’
