Death to Tennis SS19 Was a Cacophony of Color
Unrepentantly loud.
New York’s Death to Tennis showcased its loudest collection to date for Spring/Summer 2019, offering a variety of sportswear-influenced gear elevated by extremely bright colors. Bold yellow shirts, red pants, navy jackets and orange parkas appeared throughout, bolstered by playful stripe and paint splatter patterns, the former of which was inflected with various minute polo players. Color blocking yields dramatic contrast across tracksuits and split shirting, with illustrative branding adding depth to the color-drenched layering pieces. The collection culminates with a massive coat made up of clashing digi-camo and navy panels, the dynamic collection’s natural peak in terms of color discordance and silhouette.
