Chester Bennington of Linkin Park Has Passed Away
He was 41.
Frontman of Linkin Park Chester Bennington has died from an apparent suicide, according to TMZ. The outlet reports his wife discovered the body early Thursday morning at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County. He reportedly hung himself.
Chester was married with six children from two wives and has a history of struggling with addiction. Chester was a close friend and collaborator of Chris Cornell, who himself recently committed suicide by hanging earlier in May. Today would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.
