UNDERCOVER Teases Collaborative Nike Waffle Racer & Converse Chucks
All from the label’s recent SS19 runway show.

UNDERCOVER’s Spring/Summer 2019 Collection was an unrelenting fever dream. Set against an unconventional runway space, Paris Fashion Week 2018 guests were bombarded with a slew of unique designs from Jun Takahashi who drew inspiration from eight style tribes. Attendees were also fortunate to catch a glimpse of the Japanese label’s new collaborative footwear with Nike and Converse.
Courtesy of Haven Shop co-founders Arthur and Daniel Chmielewski, fans online can get an up-close look at the partnered kicks that centered upon the perennial Waffle Racer and Chuck Taylor silhouettes. Takahashi added a futuristic twist to the Swoosh’s low-top runner, implementing protruding overlays on the heel caps with knife-like indentations. As for the beloved Chuck, the classic shoe receives a deconstructed zipper system on the lace portions alongside key ring holders on the toe and heel caps.
