Spotify Hits 100 million Users
The streaming giant’s growth has accelerated since the launch of Apple Music.

Spotify now has 100 million-users, positioning itself as the leading music streaming company, as reported by Reuters. Its freemium model, which attracts users with its cost-free service then converting them into paying customers, has led 30 million of the users pay for the service. Spotify emerged in a time where its biggest competitors were Rhapsody and Deezer, but is now competing with much stronger competition like Apple, Google, and Amazon, which is allegedly working on its own music service.
