Puma Blue Goes Underwater for Lo-Fi “Moon Undah Water” Video
He always wanted to film a video in an aquarium.
When it comes to London’s contemporary jazz scene, Puma Blue is one of the exceptionally-talented artists at the forefront of the forward-thinking movement. Now, with his artistic community continuing to flourish, the impressive musician revisits his March record “Moon Undah Water” for his latest visual.
Linking up with skilled videographer Netti Hurley, Puma Blue serves up an aquatic and smooth lo-fi vignette — that’s also partly a lyric video – that provides the ideal visual companion to the tranquil and soulful vibes of “Moon Under Water.”
“I always wanted to make a video in an aquarium, or by a body of water that was overlooked by the city,” Blue tells FADER, explaining today’s clip. “When me and Netti found each other’s work, we knew we had to work together on something. So this video kind of came to be without much plan, just this desire to make a visual piece inspired by the music, without any narrative. I liked the idea of this song being forgotten about and then brought out at a karaoke bar in 50 years as a kind of ace up the sleeve of someone who happens to randomly know it.”

Late last year, Puma Blue served up an equally-lo-fi piece for “(She’s) Just A Phase.”
