Continuing the hype surrounding the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man title, developer Insomniac Games recently unveiled a new gameplay trailer at this year’s E3 expo. Highlighting the impeccable graphics and intuitive gameplay that initially captivated audiences, the new trailer reveals a bit more of the story behind the game.
The clip begins with Spider-Man facing off against Electro at what looks to be The Raft correctional facility. The supervillain uses his powers to free the jail’s prisoners, also unleashing Rhino, Scorpion and Vulture in the process. Making his way through the prison with his acrobatic combat style, Spidey ends up on a helicopter pad surrounded by the aforementioned villains and Mister Negative. Going up against the group of formidable foes alone, the web-slinger is eventually beaten into submission. With the group closing in on the subdued Spider-Man, an appearance of a yet-to-be-revealed figure, which is assumed to be coming to help Spider-Man ends the trailer.
