UNDERCOVER Recruits Verdy for Its Latest MADSTORE Capsule Collection
“Girls Don’t Cry.”
Marking the next chapter of its MADSTORE retail diffusion spaces, UNDERCOVER recently teamed up with Japanese creative Verdy for an expansive capsule collection.
A Japan and Korea exclusive release, this special range taps into both Jun Takahashi and the Girls Don’t Cry designer’s aesthetic languages through evocative graphics. Comprised of sweatshirts, T-shirts and tote bags, the collaborative capsule is a welcomed change to the merch like releases usually found at UNDERCOVER’s MADSTORE locations. Some standout items include a “Girls Don’t Cry” pullover hoodie, smiling “MAD” anarchy T-shirt and graphic heavy butterfly T-shirt.
The Verdy x UNDERCOVER MADSTORE capsule collection is set to release June 2 at Laforet Harajuku and Nagoya Parco. A follow up release will hit Ecru Mens, Velvet Trunk and Lotte Department Store at a later date.
