Ty Dolla $ign & 21 Savage Join Forces for "Clout"
“Baby girl, what you gon’ do for this clout?”
With the deluxe edition of Beach House 3 around the corner, L.A.-based singer Ty Dolla $ign has dropped a track from the six-track bonus effort called “Clout.” The song keeps in tune with the album’s star-studded roster of Future, YG, and Lil Wayne by featuring 21 Savage.
The track gives the social media buzzword the inevitable trap anthem it deserves, all the while asking what folks are willing to do to earn it. In an interview with Zane Lowe, Dolla $ign spoke of how the track came to be. “We were just working on songs and “Clout” came up, you know as soon as I did the hook and the verse and it was time for the second verse, I was like we need 21,” Ty says. “So I hit him up like bro I got the right one for us and he sent right it back.”
