Japanese brand Trove follows its laid-back Spring/Summer 2018 range with another selection of drapey looks inspired by traditional Japanese clothing. This release continues probing the earth tones that inform the brand’s recent collections, expanding on the color palette with plaids and icy neutral shades. A host of collarless coats and gowns make for lengthy layers, styled underneath parkas, capes and fur-trimmed jackets for creative silhouettes. Voluminous pants balance the weighty uppers, drawing influence from traditional Japanese jinbei and hakama silhouettes. Plenty of fuzzy scarves and knits guarantee wintertime warmth, while button-up boots reinforce the European fairy tale-influence.

Expect the new range to hit Trove’s web store later this year. For more revised traditional Japanese clothing, check out Sasquatchfabrix. and NEPENTHES‘s collaborative CHILLING collection.
