Following his recent appearance on the cover of TIME magazine, Toronto-born singer The Weeknd has attatched himself to a new “creative and digital incubator” for artists and entrepreneurs in his hometown. The project was founded by La Mar Taylor and Ahmed Ismail with Abel providing resources. The aim is to build “tools, contacts, funds, and freedoms” for local talent.

The press release continues it wishes to help artists “activate their own talents and translate them into sustainable skills.” The project will open in downtown Toronto this fall, check HXOUSE for more details.
