ScHoolboy Q References "Gin and Juice" for New RJ Collab "Hennebeeto"
A Snoop Dogg classic gets brought into the modern age.
Fast-rising Los Angeles talent RJ — YG and DJ Mustard’s first 400 Summers prospect and regional phenom– enlists ScHoolboy Q for a new track titled “Hennebeeto.” Featured on RJ’s new studio project Mr. LA, “Hennebeto” is built around a re-purposing of Snoop Dogg’s classic Doggystyle single “Gin and Juice” from producers Larry J and Swish. Referencing a seminal west coast record for their latest, Q and RJ certainly make their rap forefathers proud and pay their respects by spitting bars. Besides ScHoolboy Q, RJ’s Mr. LA also features contributions from 400 Summers co-leader DJ Mustard, Ty Dolla $ign, Quavo, Earl Swavey and others.
You can stream RJ and ScHoolboy Q’s “Hennebeeto” above — download and stream Mr. LA in its entirety on iTunes/Apple Music. Earlier this year, RJ linked up with DJ Mustard and Nipsey Hussle for the “Ridin’ Around” video. Back in April, Q hopped on a remix of Anderson .Paak’s “Come Down.”
