Sampha has created a zine inspired by his debut album, Process, that dropped earlier this year. For the publication, titled Shy Light, the singer has collaborated with London-based designer Grace Wales Bonner and Jamie Reid, the art director of DAZED. The zine features a selection of Sampha’s lyrics, along with images from his archive and photographs taken in Freetown, Sierra Leone by Durimel. To mark Shy Light‘s release, Sampha sat down with DJ Gilles Peterson for WeTransfer, where you can also exclusively download a digital copy of the zine before its official release in June.
Since he released Process, Sampha has been busy. As well as creating Shy Light, he has recently worked with Kahlil Joseph on a film to accompany his album release and a collection of tour merch with Patta.
