Audioslave & Soundgarden Frontman Chris Cornell Dies
It was “sudden and unexpected.”
Chris Cornell, best known as the frontman and lead singer for Soundgarden and Audioslave, has passed away yesterday at the age of 52. Brain Bumbery, Cornell’s representative, said that his death was “sudden and unexpected” in a statement. Cornell passed away shortly after performing a concert with Soundgarden in Detroit on Wednesday evening. The cause of the death has yet to be determined and his family is working closely with a medical examiner. In addition to his work with both bands, Cornell also released four solo studio albums. He also sang “You Know My name,” the theme song to 2006’s Casino Royale. We send our condolences to his family, friends and loved ones at this time of difficulty.
