California-based punk label Noon Goons are set to drop a brand new capsule, this time linking up with the estate of legendary jazz musician Chet Baker. A constant fixture amid L.A.’s ‘50s club scene, Baker’s style was characterized by his distinct vocal loops and expressive trumpeting, eventually going on to help spearhead the “West Coast Cool” movement.
The brash counterculture imprint thought to honor Baker’s unique sound and deep West Coast roots with a commemorative range featuring images and song titles from the man himself. The collection is made up of graphic T-shirts, hoodies, hats and a five-piece pin pack. Although ruggedly casual in appearance, the featured pieces are balanced out with an assortment of sophisticated items, namely, the plaid-printed trousers, form-fitting blazer and leather Chelsea boots. The collection will make its debut on May 3 at DSMNY.
