Scottie Pippen‘s legendary Nike Air Maestro II “Trifecta” sneaker finally gets a close-up following initial teasers and first looks. The storied model throwsback to Pippen’s supreme days in the NBA, during which he pulled off an impressive triple-double wearing these red shoes (hence the “Trifecta” name), which helped propel the Chicago Bulls to its third championship in 1993.
The Air Maestro II “Trifecta” features a premium “University Red” nubuck and leather upper with black accents and a white Swoosh. The midsole continues the bold colorway while embroidered detailing at the heel counter gives an additional premium touch to the classic pair.
Launching as part of Nike’s “Art of a Champion” collection, Pippen’s Air Maestro II “Trifecta” will release for $140 USD on May 10, 10:00 a.m. EST, at Sneaker Politics’ online store and physical locations. For more upcoming retro sneakers, the Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red” will return in 2019 for its 30th anniversary.
