Neon Indian and Friends Cover Prince's "Pop Life"
Neon Indian and friends celebrate the icon’s life.
Neon Indian along with a bunch of his music friends have joined to the ever-growing list of Prince covers in the wake of the icon’s untimely passing. In the video above, Neon Indian and a lineup including Holy Ghost, Kristin Kontrol, Ejecta, Xenia Rubbings, Adeline from Escort, Hannah Cohen, and Midnight Magic take on the Prince’s 1985 classic “Pop Life.” As you would imagine from a group of indie-pop rockers, this version adds a little more bounce, deepened bassline and laced with some shimmering synths. Most covers so far have been somewhat somber, but this was is certainly more of a celebration of life version. Watch above.
