Matthew M. Williams Teases Nike Vapor Street Flyknit Collaboration
Dropping this summer.
With his data-inspired training apparel collaboration with Nike on the way, ALYX designer and founder Matthew M. Williams has now teased a joint sneaker. The images — posted on Williams’ Instagram story — show a collaborative take on the Vapor Street Flyknit silhouette, with a black upper and tonal grey Swoosh across the upper and midsole.
The only other detail revealed is the words “MMW Training Series 001 Summer 2018” on the midsole, confirming that this is part of the wider collection and hinting at a vague release date. Announcing the sneaker collaboration, Williams described it as a “dream come true.” The apparel collection is set to release on July 12, while the Vapor Street Flyknit should release around the same time.
The full Nike collaboration also features on one cover of the 032c Summer issue, with Lil Miquela and Morgan Lake shot by Nick Knight.
