Vans Brings Japanese Boro to the Sk8-Hi & Authentic
Denim patchwork.

Having recently debuted a “Satin Patchwork” pack, Vans keeps to its craftsmanship streak with a new delivery offering Japanese boro fabric on the Sk8-Hi and Authentic models. The traditional Japanese fabric is characterized by sewing together various indigo-dyed textiles in a patchwork design, creating a unique quilt from recycled and reworked swatches.
The centuries-old technique has been popular on denim and well-loved by fashion labels such as visvim, Kapital and maharishi, and this time it visits the Sk8-Hi and Authentic. Both Vans silhouettes feature a multi-textured upper with contrasting shades of indigo, oversized threads and patterned panels. A crisp white vulcanized cupsole keeps the rest of the design simple to focus on the unique upper.
You can pick up both Sk8-Hi ($75 USD) and Authentic ($65 USD) Japanese boro models at Hype DC (Australia) now. For more revamped classics, check out the WOOYOUNGMI x Vault by Vans Classic Slip-On collaboration.
