Potential spoilers ahead.
Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, has teased a major plot twist regarding the fate of the Mother of Dragons. In her recent Vanity Fair cover story, Clarke revealed that she has finished filming Daenerys’ finals scenes for the upcoming eighth season of GoT, which will be the last of the award-winning fantasy drama.
While the actress insists that she doesn’t know how the final season will end, she did admit that filming Daenerys’ last scenes threw her for a loop. “It f*cked me up. Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone’s mouth of what Daenerys is…” Clarke said. “I’m doing all this weird sh*t,” she said about filming the final scenes. “You’ll know what I mean when you see it.”
Clarke doesn’t give any concrete details about the plot but does reveal she has no plans to appear in any GoT spin-offs currently in the works. In the meantime, she is promoting her new role in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
