Weekday & FILA Unite on Athletic Spring/Summer 2018 Capsule
“Strength in Unity.”
Swedish retailer Weekday has teamed up with FILA for a new athletic-inspired capsule inspired by the latter’s sportswear heritage. Graphics throughout the collection reference the sports influence with a “Strength in Unity” motif, as well as paying tribute to the two brands’ hometowns.
Key pieces in the collection include joggers, shorts, windbreakers, tees and sweatshirts, with all of the pieces constructed using technical fabrics intended to give the wearer increased flexibility. As well as apparel, the collection also features a pair of sock-like runners from the two brands. The color palette mixes muted tones such as pure white and light grey with brighter shades including blue. Elsewhere, the collection features detailing including graphic prints and reflective bands. The collection is set to drop at Weekday stores on April 18, before hitting the web store on April 19.
