Rare Leica Cameras Set to Hit Auction Later This Month
Set to sell for between $17,000 USD and $26,000 USD.

After a super-rare 1923 Leica became the most expensive camera ever, another rare model from the label is set to arrive at auction this month. The 1925 Model Ia Elmax is set to cost much less than the $2.95 million USD spent on that model, although still comes with a sizeable estimate of between £12,000 GBP and £18,000 GBP (approx. $17,000 USD to $26,000 USD).
This model is significant as it is almost entirely original, with hardly any upgrades in the 93 years since it was produced. Also on sale at this auction will be a Leica Reporter 250gg Rangefinder, which was manufactured at some point between 1944 and 1953. This model is set to sell for between £4,000 GBP and £6,000 GBP (approx. $5,000 USD to $8,500 USD). Both cameras will go on sale at Flint’s Auctions in London on April 27.
