Seth Globepainter Unveils Whimsical New Artworks in Shanghai

For an exhibit entitled “Like Child’s Play.”

Acclaimed French street artist Seth Globepainter recently launched a new exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai. Entitled “Like Child’s Play,” the show puts on a diverse display of sculptures, paintings, installations, and photographs depicting his wall murals created all across the city. As a whole, Globepainter’s child-like characters are reinterpreted in playful new compositions while touching upon Chinese culture and societal issues such as urbanization.

“While wandering in Shanghai, I noticed that many old neighborhoods are making way for skyscrapers, and the city is busy transforming itself into a modern one. But, as an artist, I would like to remind my audience to pause in their steps and search for beautiful memories instead,” the artist told Shanghai Daily.

Check out the photos above and head over to Seth Globepainter’s official website to view more projects.
