Raf Simons's 'Blade Runner'-Inspired Future Wellington Boots Have Arrived
Finds a balance between luxurious elegance and futuristic, industrial-styled streetwear.
Originally debuted during Raf Simons’ New York Fashion Week: Men’s Spring/Summer 2018 show, the Blade Runner-themed Future Wellington Boots have hit retailers.
Crafted from rubber in a high shine finish and a translucent color reminiscent of the Ridley Scott film, the dystopian-like piece meticulously finds a balance between luxurious elegance and futuristic, industrial-styled streetwear.
For those looking for an unconventional pair of boots, elements such a Raf Simons embossed “RS” detailing, top drawstring fastening and black rope detail further aid in the Future Wellington’s high-tech design. The Raf Simons Future Wellington Boots are available now at select stockists such as LN-CC for €540 EUR (approximately $664 USD).
Simons’ Spring/Summer 2018 collection marked his second show, which also featured collaborations with artist Peter Saville and Eastpak. References to Blade Runner were also apparent with “Replicants” graphics found upon a number of items.
For more unconventional accessories, Calvin Klein‘s Raf Simons-designed line Calvin Klein 205W39NYC just released a pair of $390 USD “Rose” pink rubber gloves.
