Nike Delivers the Air Max 98 in a Neutral-Toned “Snakeskin” Release
Up for grabs now.
After having released both the “South Beach” and “Cone” iterations of the Air Max 98, Nike opts to pare down the bold color schemes and instead simplifies this particular release with something more neutral — combining White with “Sail” and “Sepia Stone.” Although anchored by a minimalist tonal motif, the Swoosh brand ups the shoe’s artistic identity by combining a mishmash of textiles along its upper.
A subtle snakeskin overlay envelops the mudguard, with what appears to be suede and mesh elements placed overhead. The clean white Air midsole and off-white rubber outsole round out the new design. The Nike Air Max 98 “Snakeskin” retails for €185 EUR (approximately $227 USD) and is available now at BSTN.
