Michael Jackson's Famous Moonwalk Loafers Set for Auction
The King of Pop’s “Magic Shoes.”

Going under the hammer at GWS Auctions is a very special pair of loafers worn by the late Michael Jackson. Worn by the King of Pop during his Motown 25: Yesterday, Today and Forever television special rehearsal in 1983, these Florsheim Imperial Loafers hold a special place in the world of Michael Jackson memorabilia due to the Motown 25 special being the first time MJ performed the moonwalk while performing Billie Jean. Other key attributes to the loafers is the signature found at the bottom of the sole, “Michael #2” marking found at the heel, and letter from choreographer Lester Wilson, who was gifted these “Magic Shoes” from MJ himself.
