Damon Albarn and company brought the Gorillaz live act — sans animated avatars — to the late night television circuit yesterday. Performing “Let Me Out” live on The Late Show, Albarn and his band linked up with song collaborator Pusha T to play Humanz material on TV for the very first time. Mavis Staples, the song’s other performer, appeared via some creatively-shot footage. With the arrival of Gorillaz’s long-awaited comeback album, expect the music of Humanz to be everywhere in the coming months — including high-profile festivals.

You can check out Gorillaz, Mavis Staples and Pusha T’s Late Show rendition of “Let Me Out” above. For more, check out Gorillaz’s first-ever on-camera interview.
