Erykah Badu Surprises Students at a Newark, New Jersey High School

Erykah Badu revisited one of the high schools she partnered up a few years ago for the Future Project initiative that helps mentor students during their tenure. Yesterday, the beloved singer was back at Malcolm X Shabazz High School in Newark, NJ where she surprised a cafeteria full of students. She stood up and rocked out “On and On,” her remix of Kanye West’s “Real Friends,” and even a preview of new music from her upcoming project. Watch above.
